HPS Day 2---headache

Went to observe the primary 3 class that i will be taking over in 2 week's time and realised that im in for trouble...

The kids are so naughty!!! There's a total of 44 and almost every single one of them cannot stay still for the entire 3 chinese lessons. When we first entered the class, one of the boys threw a tantrum and started throwing his things around...apparently, one of his teachers scolded him and he was unhappy about it. My CT ignored him and carried on with the lesson. There was another boy who was very talkative...he will talk to anyone, anytime. There were another few who will fidget in their place and disturb their classmates seated near them...

There was a new student in the class and he also misbehaved...making my CT very angry and had to ask him to the front of the class so that she can reprimand him. There was a malay girl in the class but from my observation, she has no problems understanding chinese and can follow the lesson.

I think im beginning to have a headache as my CT warned me that this is the first time she has such a mischievous class and the boy who threw a tantrum has violent tendencies, the boy who kept talking talks non-stop and will try to interrupt ya lesson, there's another few who will play during your teaching. There's so many of them trying to disrupt the lesson, how to teach? How can I managed them well enough so that when my supervisor comes to observe and assess my teaching, they'll behave?

Headache...headache...

It's Total Defence day and the school conducted an exercise where the whole school had to evacuate to Hougang Secondary in the morning and the whole canteen was closed. Each student was given a bottled of newater and also a small packet of biscuits as they won't be able to get food in school. The morning session was quite cooperative and they managed to assemble in the field quite quickly. Pretty impressed.

Woah! oh dear..will keep you in prayer girl..maybe jenn yang can give you some tips. jia you ah? anything can call me and we can think of solutions (though i'm inexperienced too!) my P3 class seems fine now..hopefully it will remain as so. our total defence day was super boring. the slideshow lasted for an hr, coupled with a speech by our VP. the teachers were restless..not to mention the kids! gd that you had fun. :) oh...and we had a siren test at 12.05, which disrupted the lesson..hee..it is times like this when you see teachers making the best use of time - marking.
