"Inception"

Caught this movie last night with Jason at Marina Square. It's quite a complex movie but I find it rather interesting. I like the scene where the buildings and roads were inverted...wonder how they did the computer graphics, quite impressive...Stars Leonardo Dicaprio and Ken Watanabe.

Mandai Crematorium

Grandpa's funeral was held today. The monks came to say prayers last night. After another prayer, we sent him off. The cremation was done at Mandai Crematorium. It's my first time there. The air-con was very strong, making the room where we waited briefly quite cold. Was told not to cry but when the coffin was rolled in for cremation, couldn't control the tears...
By 3pm, we went back to the crematorium for the ash collection. Saw how the ashes were laid in the urn. As his family members, we were also told to place a piece of his bone into the urn and also a piece of the skull. The crushing of the bones to fit the ashes into the urn was a sickening sound.
No matter where my grandpa is now, I hope he is at peace.

Grandpa 1924-2010

Parents woke me & sis around 1+am saying that the hospital called, grandpa has fainted...we thought he'll be fine so we decided to stay at home.
The next morning, Mum woke us up, saying that Grandpa has passed away last night...it was a rude shock. I just visited him last night with Jason, he seemed alright and now he is gone.
Dad drove me to school where I applied for compassionate leave. We went to the town council to apply for the multi-purpose hall to hold the wake.
By 3+pm, the body came and as my Grandpa is a Buddhist, there were monks to pray.
This is so unreal.

Fireworks and sunrise

After meeting his 2 JC classmates for lunch at tcc, went for my piano lesson at PS. We headed for Sentosa Resorts World to catch the fireworks at Universal Studios. Had dinner at KT's Grill and since I wasn't that hungry, we shared a combo meal. The food was quite good. There were alot of people waiting for the fireworks. We went to the stores to look at the merchandise. Teddy got a laptop bag while I had a mechanical pencil that costs $9.90...super ex!

The fireworks was very nice, tried to take photos but thought a video would be better as there were music too. So only took 1 photo at the beginning and took a video after.

We decided to catch the sunrise at Changi Beach but due to cloudy conditions, couldn't really see the sunrise...what a pity...

Night Museum - Night Festival 2010

After the PSLE Oral briefing at Spring Singapore, took NEL to Dhoby Ghaut to meet Teddy to go to the Night Festival. We went to the SMU open area to find the graffiti van to get the free t-shirts. We walked over to Peranakan Museum next. There were glow in the dark art activities so we tried the sand art and also the peranakan tiles...I did a peacock sand art and 1 of the tiles. We went over to Kopitiam for a late dinner before heading to the National Museum to look at the exhibits in the various galleries.

Not fated to watch...

Tried to catch "Toy Story 3" last night at Cathay with Teddy but seems like we are not fated to watch the movie as the timing was off on Monday and after our quick dinner, the tickets for the 7:40pm show was sold out...the next show starts at 9:50pm and I thought it would be too late by the time the movie ends. Headed to 313 Coffeebean to play Monopoly Deal instead...Will catch "Despicable Me" on Friday...
Bumped into Ray at Plaza Singapura again but didn't know will meet him so the Japanese snacks I got for Yifen and him is still at home...so coincidental. =)
