Craft shopping

Went to Chinatown with sis after lunch at home today...needed to get more felt cloth as these few days became interested in making felt characters. Have completed a strawberry, an orange and also a baby with bunny outfit. Will show photos of them after more characters are done..Bought elastic band and a belt buckle for sis to make me a belt.

As there's a few shops selling clothes, passed by one and saw a nice dress. It looks a little like those sold in Haji Lane and is in khaki color. Tried it out and managed to bargain for a good price so decided to buy it ($32).

Went to eat the Mango sago dessert and then bought the felt cloth from Jin Long craft shop. They cost $0.90 each here while Spotlight sells them at $0.99.

Shopping again!

After attending the AGM and lunch in school today, got a lift from Raizal to go to White Sands. Went to the library and found a Mark Haddon book. Looks interesting or else I won't lug it back...it's hard cover and quite thick.

Took a train to Tampines to check out Mango and also Bossini as there's sales going on. Passed by Ness and saw that they too are having a sale and tried on the skirts...quite nice designs but decided to get the longer one so I can wear to work. It's khaki color with a big ribbon in the middle front and also has 2 side pockets. The skirt used to cost close to $60 but after the discount it's $17. Went to Bossini and got a black top for $11.50 as they are having a 50% sale. The Mango in Isetan has moved to a store just beside Isetan and is much more spacious. Mango now has 70% sale but the items are more limited than before. Didn't get anything there nor from Lovely Land as the things are pretty much the same as the last time I went there.

Japanese cute stuff...

Most of the stickers are strawberry scented ones with 1 or 2 with apple scent...the designs are so nice that I can't resist buying them. However, I got them from stores like Takashimaya, Kinokuniya and a stationery shop in Funan, not from online.

Pre-Christmas rush

Met Yifen at Orchard MRT today for lunch at Sun with Moon. Went to Popular to look around as I've arrived earlier. Managed to find the fabric marker for $2.70 (Original price is $3) as Yifen has the Popular membership card. Had my usual Niku Udon and warabimochi. Bought a Meiji koala almond latte biscuit and also a Dome Oatmeal biscuit that is quite big. Met Ray and his friends at Adelphi as he wanted to get earphones.

Saw lotsa cute stickers and folders at the stationery shop in Funan. Quite surprise to see that they carry mamegoma stuff. Met David at tcc for coffee. Tried the mint choc freeze and it's quite nice. He got me lemon cookies from Crabtree and Evelyn...they taste very nice and i love the cookie tin. Took a bus home after checking out MC2 for the new laptop promotional prices. Still considering whether to get 1...

Sun with Moon

Went to Tampines to get my dosage of cute stuff from Lovely Land in Century Square. Went to the shop where I used to get 2 dresses for $50 and saw new bags...decided to get the black and white one for $29.90. Quite big and is waterproof. Took a train down to Dhoby Ghaut after buying some stickers and cute stationery from Lovely Land.

Went to Spotlight to get the felt cloth and also to Daiso to get the zipper. Soon my shopping bag became quite full.

After piano lesson, managed to contact Josh and we met up to have dinner at Sun with Moon. Ordered beef steak and warabimochi. He ordered a pancake, salmon canape, chawanmushi and also chirashi don that comes with miso soup. Shared most of the food except the rice. Waited almost an hour for him as there's a major jam at CTE. When crossing the traffic junction near Takashimaya, they had all the traffic stopped for pedestrains to cross anyway they wish. Quite cool. Went to Jalan Kayu to takeaway teh tarik as he didn't want the smoky smell to cling to his clothes. Went to the Seletar Reservior for the drink. Had a good time catching up.

Meet-ups

Met Celina at Orchard to shop and chat. Went around Takashimaya, Cineleisure and took a bus down to Art Musuem. But as the entry fee is $8 so we didn't go in. Walked over to Raffles City and there are quite a number of new shops like Agnes B, Topshop, Warehouse and Dorothy Perkins.

Met Delong to pass him his xmas gift and for dinner at Sushi Tei and tried the fish roe chawanmushi. The waitress forgot my salmon maki order so in the end didn't get that. Walked over to Suntec to get yami yoghurt and walked around for awhile before heading home. Weird that I didn't feel that hungry for dinner.

Foto gallery

Received an error sms several weeks ago asking me "Hi Miss Chew, you are invited to have a complimentary makeover and photoshoot with us..." and when they were notified of the error, the person invited me down for a photoshoot with my family.

Hence, arranged for an appt to go with sis today. We went to Chinatown first as we wanted to get some beads from Shinobeads. Foto gallery is opposite Shaw towers and is quite near to Bugis. The first look was casual and the second we chose the kimono look.

Walked down to Haji Lane next as it was featured in a tv show this week and the shops looked quite interesting. The show also mentioned that it's the narrowest road in Singapore. The clothes and bags were quite pricey and there were a few shops that were located on the 2nd floor only. If you were to ask me where to find the steepest steps on staircase in Singapore it would be here. As if you don't buy anything from the shop, you will tumble out from the 2nd storey. There's this store call pluck and it's quite interesting, selling clothes, accessories and also ice-cream and beverages.

Got a second-hand coin pouch for $9.90. Like the size, can hang it on my hp...quite cool. =)

Think I've tried MOS Burger's teriyaki burger before but don't remember it tasting so gd...haha, probably cos I'm darn hungry...

ANTM

One of the shows I used to follow on Channel 5. Like their photoshoots as the make up and lighting can always make the models look so different and good. This photo is my fave shot of Jaslene. Renee's shot has a nicely angled arm while Natasha's shot is very sensuous. Think I'll always prefer a black and white or sepia print...got a nostalgic feel to the photo. Another show that I used to follow was Project Runway. It's amazing how the designers can work with the limited budget and come up with amazing pieces.

Granny's birthday lunch

Went to fetch granny and her maid to have lunch with 大姨,姨丈 and 阿雄哥哥's family to celebrate granny's birthday. Raye raye is so cute...halfway through the meal, he wanted to open the gift we got for him and he was trembling with all his might to open the pressie cos the double-sided tape was very strong. He was beaming with pleasure when he realise it was a fire truck. His mummy asked him to kiss me and my sis cos we chose the gift for him. He is so adorable! Took photos of him playing and also of him with me. And I like the way he says 水晶包 in teochew...super cute!!!

Sisters' day out

Went to Oak3 with sis to find out from our uncle what her internship will be about. Took SBS 51 from Hougang Bus Interchange and the journey took almost 2 hrs...think we've travelled about half of Singapore already...

I bought a mamegoma file in Takashimaya and we went to search for a gift for Raye...settled for a Fisher Price animal fire truck. As there was free gift-wrapping services so we queue up for it. Went to Wheelock and got a ty xmas penguin... went to Isetan to get the pino milk tea ice-cream before going to Far East. Sis got a tee for $7 and I found a share bear for $5. Also bought a second-hand "Marley and Me" for $10.

Product rebate

Went to Chung Cheng High (Main) near Paya Lebar for a sharing session. It was quite interesting with different teachers sharing different teaching techniques. After the course, went to Plaza Sg's Pasta Mania to have lunch with my colleagues. Walked down to Cineleisure to get the clip-on earrings converter from Diva ($3). There was a push-cart stall selling dangling earrings just outside the shop and it was quite cheap, 3 pairs for $5. Chose 3 silver coloured ones: one of tinkerbell, one of butterfly and one of small square shapes. Went to get my product rebate from Bodyshop as they expire by March next year and I have quite a few. Used one for the flawless skin protecting concealer (02). Then went to another outlet to get the red sparkle nail file and white musk smooth satin body lotion. Both need to top up a little money as the amount was not exact to the rebate amount. Can't use both rebates at the same time, so one was at Plaza Sg, the other at Centrepoint. Quite silly actually. Haha...

Teddy bear exhibition

Found out there's a teddy bear exhibition at the arts house for only 1 day so decided to go take a look. The exhibition is actually quite small and the bears are really cute. There's a japanese healing bear where there's crystals and a magnetic stone on it. Should be quite expensive. Went to Marina Square next and got my tinkertoes floral black wedges for $21.90. Went to Bodyshop at the Citylink to help the tapdance instructor get vit e stuff and also to get the facial wash for mum. Bought makeup remover, foot gel, plum shimmer lip gloss, mandarin orange body lotion and seaweed sunblock. Got another cosmetic pouch with smaller items and a lipstick for free cos spent $90+. It's scary when Bodyshop has sale or discounts...this time round for Star Loyalty members, it's 30% so I've spent like close to $300 for friends and myself.
