Confessions of a shopaholic

Read the book some time ago but caught the movie on the plane back to Singapore. I really like the movie, think cos can identify with the main character, being a shopaholic myself...Just got a top from Outfitter's Girls "Born to shop" haha...super cute. I think my June salary has all gone into my Taiwan trip but it's worth it. ^_^ My total check-in luggage was 50.2kg...scary right? My sis commented on facebook that I brought another her back...basically all the hard cover children storybooks and the conference materials...My heart still aching from the excess baggage charge...didn't know will amount to so much, maybe posting the books back would have been cheaper...oh well...what's done is done...just have to scrimp and save, maybe even go to drastic measures to ban myself from my fave stores to cut down on my spendings...can i do it? hmm

Saturday Night movies

Been catching Sat night movies on Channel 5 lately. A few weeks ago, caught "Elizabeth Town" starring Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst. It was really sweet for her to help him compile a travelling book with songs as he cope with his father's death. Just watched "A lot like love" starring Aston Kutcher and he really looks good...=)

360

Went to East Coast for dinner and tried the western food at 360. The mash potato with the ribeye was really tasty but it came in a small portion.

Necessary Extravagance

Had lunch with my colleagues at Soup Restaurant in Compasspoint as Yihong and Liu Yuan will be leaving us soon. Was invited by Rosman to view his graduating works at NAFA so decided to go take a look. There were alot of different art works like paintings, sculptures, etc. There were alot of people at the event and met Siti and Rosman there. I like the zocard they have to advertise for this exhibition. Looks very elegant and classy.

"Blood"

Went to Orchard to get a gift for my taiwanese friend's nephew. Decided on a travelling spoon and fork set with a case so that they can use it to feed him when they go out. Went to tcc in Kinokuniya to read my Marian Keyes' book "This Charming Man". Managed to complete it and had a nice Royaltine cake with peach tea. Met up with Albert for dinner at Bugis and we went for a movie "Blood" at Iluma's Film Garde. Before the movie, tried Lavender hot chocolate at cheeky chocolates. The drink is quite nice...the movie was very gory and scary. Think too violent...

Raizal's wedding

Took 109 to Pasir Ris Community Centre to attend my colleague, Raizal's wedding. The bride had a gown that reminds us of Barbie doll dress as it's pink and very princess-like. The hall was nicely decorated and after taking photos with the couple, we left as they were making their way to the bride's house. Headed to Sengkang Library as Jeremy dropped me and Waiyin at Compasspoint. As it's the holidays now, can borrow 8 books instead of the usual 4. Will be doing alot of reading for the next few days. =)

Little Red Flower

Caught this China film on okto on Sunday night. The children were able to express their emotions very vividly and their determination to achieve the little red flowers for doing something right was very endearing. The boy who was the main character tried to coerce his friends to believe that their teacher, Mrs Li is a child-eating monster. He has a very mischievous face and often gets himself into trouble. Like almost all the Chinese films I've caught before, I couldn't understand the ending. It was rather abrupt and I didn't understand the message the film was trying to convey.
