Drinks

Went to Kinokuniya and managed to get a children's storybook that has both Chinese and English text and even a cd for only $9. Quite a cute story,《Dirty Bertie》. Went to the library as it's still early and managed to find an interesting book that's in the form of short online messages between some friends.
Met Michael at Wisma's taxi stand. Went to China Square for dinner at Sushi Tei. As we were there quite late, 9plus we could only order sashimi and sushi. The rest of the items are no longer available. There was a guy waiter who looked quite good. =P Walked over to Kazbar http://www.kazbar.com/ for drinks. The blueberry mojitos are nice. I like the portable lamp they have there. It's from IKEA. Reached home pretty late, around 130am I think.

Elements

Received a call a few weeks ago for a free body detox massage treatment from Elements in the Cathay. So arranged to go today at 345pm. The essential oil they used is lavender mixed with something else. The massage was quite alright but at some points it was quite painful as force is used. Went for piano lesson and headed home right after. Had a slight headache at night.

On Call

Met up with Aleman (Mexican) at Wheelock's Sun with Moon for dinner. He kinda got lost after he exited from Orchard MRT station so he took quite awhile to get there. Luckily a table was available or I would have to stand for quite some time. Tried the scallop and mushroom with beef teriyaki. Quite interesting. The sweet box was also very nice, with mango pudding, fruit jelly, chocolate wine ice cream and warabimochi. Went to Shaw centre (opposite pacific plaza) to get a cab and almost all the cabs that passed by had on call signs...waited for 1hr plus for a cab to come by. So sickening...

Dinner and K

Last day of PSLE marking yesterday...we ended quite fast around 11am but can only leave by 12pm. Went to AMK Hub with my colleagues and we bought some clothes. I got a purple blouse ($29) from Bega...tried the pink and black first but they felt that i look better in the purple and white. Had tea at Ah Mei Cafe before going to Baoqin's house at Punggol Central.

Her little girl is so cute. Baoqin help her cut her fringe and it's quite short. Looks very cute. Luckily she is still young or else will look quite weird. Played with her and viewed some photos before leaving around 6+pm. Waited for Wenjun to pick me up to go for dinner.

We went to Pasir Ris Park but Fishermen's village is no longer there. Went to this restaurant called Summer's Breeze. Tried the steak and while we ordered medium it was well-done. He wanted to try the red wine there so we tried Promised Land. The dessert is nice though, black and white brownie. Not too sweet. Took a cab to Tampines but the movie showtimes were quite late, all starting around 1130pm onwards. So we took a cab down to Hougang Plaza to sing karaoke. Left for home around 1+am. Had a nice time together.

New York New York

After first day of PSLE marking, I'm part of the recording team and just need to check the marks recorded, met Yifen cos she's also working at the same exam marking centre. We went to AMK Hub and decided to try New York New York since there's no queue. Luckily, after we sat down shortly, there were alot of people queuing already.

Ordered the mushroom cuppucino (soup), smokey cheese bites, penne mushroom and roast chicken and she had bacon spagghetti. The food was served hot and nice. I like the smokey cheese bites...it's onion and cheese fried together. Walked around for awhile and got some products from Bodyshop as there's 20% discount for my birthday month. Had milk tea at the ah mei cafe before heading home.

Shopping spree

Due to Hari Raya there's a school holiday today so went to town to look for the skirt that I didn't get the other time at Far East. Managed to find it, luckily no one got it cos it's the only piece. Got it for $9.90. Went to another shop and found Mr Bump and Little Miss Sunshine tees for $25.40. The Little Miss Sunshine is a different design from the last time I got. Had tom yam chicken soup for lunch cos not really hungry. Went to a shop upstairs and they were clearing stock for shoes. Got one with pink cherries and another that is brown checks pumps for $17.90 together. Real good deal. It was pouring heavily outside so decided to get a bus back already. Didn't want to walk around anymore in the rain.

Central and movie

Met Jimmy for dinner at Central yesterday. Intended to try the other japanese restaurant there but there were quite limited selection and there's no seats in Ma Maison. Went to Sun with Moon instead. When I wanted to order dessert and as usual when I mentioned warabimochi, the waitress actually made a face when I told her it's not the green tea ice-cream order. Haiz...in the end, ordered sweet box. The pineapple sherbet was nice. Think i kinda addicted to sherbets recently. Tried peach sherbet at Sushi Tei the last sat.

Went to Liang Court, Meidi-ya and Kino before going to Cineileisure for a movie. Watched "Lust.Caution". It wasn't as good as expected. Think because it's by Lee Ang that's why it has so much publicity.

Japanese titbits

Bought this at the Japanese supermarket in Central. The warabimochi mushroom biscuits are very nice (from Meidi-ya in Liang Court)! It's amazing what flavors they come up with.

P2 blunder

Today is the second day for oral examinations. Was giving P2 oral when this boy told me: “我忘记这个是什么。。。”It was actually a picture of 2 elephants performing for the audience at the zoo. So after thinking for awhile, he came up with “小狗”I was so shocked, I asked him again and he gave me the same answer. I couldn't stand it any longer so I asked him “大什么?”Finally he said “哦,大象。”So funny! =)

Birthday dinner

Went out for dinner with my family as it's my birthday...we eat out on sundays anyway. Went to Sushi Jiro at Siglap area. Had chawanmushi, agedashi tofu, cold tofu, sashimi, sushi and beef nabe. Super full and contented after the meal. But it was super expensive!!! Almost $400!*_*

Taking tests...

The What Type of man turns you on test: Classic scorcher
You have picked my personal favorite type of man. Yes, man, not boy. The all-American and then some. You admire a buff body and manly features but someone who knows how to bathe himself and even though he's a scorcher, you could still bring him home to mom - as long as she keeps her hands off! Someone this hot would be......Victor Webster. But let's face it, the whole point of this was to look at a bunch of hot guys.

Out with sis

Went to the Bodyshop warehouse sale with sis and was slightly late, around 12plus pm. All the pouches are gone and when sis spotted some at the bottom of the shelves, the staff said they were reserved by staff and can't be sold to us...so unfair!!! Should have gone like once they open. Spent another $70plus but cos sis also bought some items. Went to Marina Square and tried the KFC fiery lime drumsticks...think it's not spicy enough though. Bought a Sylvanian family set costing $19(the mini version). Went to Kokontozai as there's a sale. Been wanting to get a ring but didn't really see what I liked the last time. The outlet in Raffles City has nicer designs. Got one for around $17plus. Original price is $20plus. Decided to have lunch at Sushi Tei as it's getting late. Went to A n BC at the basement and got a Japanese design file and a clover stamp. Went for piano lessons and headed to Clarke Quay for family dinner with uncle at Hung Kang Teochew Restaurant.

Woodpecker

Spotted a woodpecker when going to the bus stop with sis today. Like the way it moves up and down the tree. So cute!

Spent around $70+...it's scary...received the piano results and again didn't make it. Feel so disappointed. Wondering if i should carry on...=(

Makeover again

Went down to NByN again as I'd received a call on Monday. As it's my second visit so there's only one casual look and 20 shots, of which I can choose 2. There was this English guy who came to talk about the package costs and he was trying to convince me to sign up for the package. It's quite expensive, $137 for 24 mths. Didn't really want to commit as it's quite a big amount and at this point in time don't see the need.

Carebear

Last time when I was small I used to have a yellow funshine care bear. But when I moved to Yio Chu Kang, gave it away. Really regret it now as it's so expensive to buy one. Been looking for the keychain and I managed to get one from Raffles Place mrt shopping area, one of the push carts. I got the pink color without keychain but has a string, the flower one is with metal keychain and the funshine is what I'm looking for...still haven't found it yet.

Children's Day

It's a school holiday for primary schools so went to the gym and attended the bodybalance class and jazz dance. Quite fun. Went shopping after that. Managed to get my new shoes from tinkertoes at Marina Square. My URS brown pumps are a little torn at the back, didn't know till I wore it to school the other day and it was raining. Rain water actually seeped in, so uncomfortable. The new pumps are also brown for $21.90. Saw this japanese sweet from John Little that is suppose to help one lose weight as it expands when you drink water after eating it. Helps to block of carbo absorption but super expensive. It costs $12.90 each packet. Think by weight, never really see.
