What's going on...

Been to East Coast Seafood centre some time last week with Mark. We actually walked over 1 hr from Kembangan MRT station to that eating place. Met up on Friday for dinner at Sun with Moon. The beef steak at Sun with Moon is fabulous. Love it! Yum...
Ratatouille is out but waiting for the price to drop first, now costing $15.90 for VCD. Managed to get "You are Special" by Max Lucado from Kinokuniya for $12+...been trying to look for the book. Went to Suntec with Sis on Saturday before going for piano lesson. MOS burger having a handphone strap xmas collection. Got the rice girl version. Sis got the fried chicken version. Very cute! Costs $2.50 with every set meal purchase. http://www.mosburger.com.sg/home.php
Received a facebook email from this guy who lives in Hougang too. Since he has nothing on for Sunday, we met up to watch Bee Movie at Cineleisure. Had dinner before taking a bus home. I got the fried chicken hp strap from MOS Burger too...

Shopping with colleague

Met up with Esther and had lunch at Gelare at Citylink...tried the mushroom pasta, the sauce is quite nice. Went to Marina Square to look for the t-shirt shop which I saw from the MS brochure. The shop is located on the 3rd floor and is called Sphere. The "addicted to shopping" tee that was advertised is sold out so I left my hp number for the salesgirl to call me when the new stock arrives. Got another pink color tee which says "I've lost my telephone number can I have yours?". Esther got a tee as well so it was $10 each (if just get 1 tee is $12). Bought a bracelet and necklace from Diva for $2.50 each. Both items are in the sale section. Went to Suntec to get Yami yoghurt. They have a new flavor so didn't get the usual peach yoghurt. Tried the macademia nut yoghurt. It's not as sour as peach and is quite nice. Went for coffee at Toast Box before taking the train home. My feet are so sore from all the walking...

Japanese snacks 2

Got new snacks from Isetan supermarket on Sunday. The mango gummy (similar to the orange middle gummy) tastes really good and the smell is quite strong. The meltykiss looks so tempting that I cannot resist not getting it. There's a honey lemon stick biscuit too. Spent almost $10 on snacks alone...scary. But it's Japanese snacks! =P http://www.meiji.co.jp/sweets/chocolate/meltykiss/

Sat Gathering

Met up with my jc pals at Riscotti, an italian restaurant at Riverwalk. Gloria, Ridzal, Charm, Tza, Harold and Guolong turned up. Had a nice dinner with lotsa chatting and even desserts. The desserts there are pretty good.

Met up Mark to try to catch a movie but unfortunately, there wasn't anything nice showing in Marina Square, Eng wah in Suntec was closed and not even Cathay has anything nice to offer.

Had a nice chat at Starbucks in Cathay then went to East Coast Park for more chatting before going home early in the morning..haha. Got this design your own tumbler from Starbucks for $16.90. Think it's so cool...

Ma Maison

Met up with Nick yesterday to check out...hold your breath...guys' selection of undies...haha...he was supposed to show me a range where there's international brands and guess what I saw in the shop...lacy briefs!!! Gosh, i nearly fainted...how can any guy wear that thing?!?!

Anyway, we went to Bugis next and I was trying to look for a big black bag but those that I see are quite PVC or plasticky looking. Had dinner at Ma Maison and spent quite some time chatting. Took the train to Tampines as he lives there and had a drink and more chatting at Starbucks.

Drinks

Went to Kinokuniya and managed to get a children's storybook that has both Chinese and English text and even a cd for only $9. Quite a cute story,《Dirty Bertie》. Went to the library as it's still early and managed to find an interesting book that's in the form of short online messages between some friends.
Met Michael at Wisma's taxi stand. Went to China Square for dinner at Sushi Tei. As we were there quite late, 9plus we could only order sashimi and sushi. The rest of the items are no longer available. There was a guy waiter who looked quite good. =P Walked over to Kazbar http://www.kazbar.com/ for drinks. The blueberry mojitos are nice. I like the portable lamp they have there. It's from IKEA. Reached home pretty late, around 130am I think.

Elements

Received a call a few weeks ago for a free body detox massage treatment from Elements in the Cathay. So arranged to go today at 345pm. The essential oil they used is lavender mixed with something else. The massage was quite alright but at some points it was quite painful as force is used. Went for piano lesson and headed home right after. Had a slight headache at night.

On Call

Met up with Aleman (Mexican) at Wheelock's Sun with Moon for dinner. He kinda got lost after he exited from Orchard MRT station so he took quite awhile to get there. Luckily a table was available or I would have to stand for quite some time. Tried the scallop and mushroom with beef teriyaki. Quite interesting. The sweet box was also very nice, with mango pudding, fruit jelly, chocolate wine ice cream and warabimochi. Went to Shaw centre (opposite pacific plaza) to get a cab and almost all the cabs that passed by had on call signs...waited for 1hr plus for a cab to come by. So sickening...

Dinner and K

Last day of PSLE marking yesterday...we ended quite fast around 11am but can only leave by 12pm. Went to AMK Hub with my colleagues and we bought some clothes. I got a purple blouse ($29) from Bega...tried the pink and black first but they felt that i look better in the purple and white. Had tea at Ah Mei Cafe before going to Baoqin's house at Punggol Central.

Her little girl is so cute. Baoqin help her cut her fringe and it's quite short. Looks very cute. Luckily she is still young or else will look quite weird. Played with her and viewed some photos before leaving around 6+pm. Waited for Wenjun to pick me up to go for dinner.

We went to Pasir Ris Park but Fishermen's village is no longer there. Went to this restaurant called Summer's Breeze. Tried the steak and while we ordered medium it was well-done. He wanted to try the red wine there so we tried Promised Land. The dessert is nice though, black and white brownie. Not too sweet. Took a cab to Tampines but the movie showtimes were quite late, all starting around 1130pm onwards. So we took a cab down to Hougang Plaza to sing karaoke. Left for home around 1+am. Had a nice time together.

New York New York

After first day of PSLE marking, I'm part of the recording team and just need to check the marks recorded, met Yifen cos she's also working at the same exam marking centre. We went to AMK Hub and decided to try New York New York since there's no queue. Luckily, after we sat down shortly, there were alot of people queuing already.

Ordered the mushroom cuppucino (soup), smokey cheese bites, penne mushroom and roast chicken and she had bacon spagghetti. The food was served hot and nice. I like the smokey cheese bites...it's onion and cheese fried together. Walked around for awhile and got some products from Bodyshop as there's 20% discount for my birthday month. Had milk tea at the ah mei cafe before heading home.

Shopping spree

Due to Hari Raya there's a school holiday today so went to town to look for the skirt that I didn't get the other time at Far East. Managed to find it, luckily no one got it cos it's the only piece. Got it for $9.90. Went to another shop and found Mr Bump and Little Miss Sunshine tees for $25.40. The Little Miss Sunshine is a different design from the last time I got. Had tom yam chicken soup for lunch cos not really hungry. Went to a shop upstairs and they were clearing stock for shoes. Got one with pink cherries and another that is brown checks pumps for $17.90 together. Real good deal. It was pouring heavily outside so decided to get a bus back already. Didn't want to walk around anymore in the rain.

Central and movie

Met Jimmy for dinner at Central yesterday. Intended to try the other japanese restaurant there but there were quite limited selection and there's no seats in Ma Maison. Went to Sun with Moon instead. When I wanted to order dessert and as usual when I mentioned warabimochi, the waitress actually made a face when I told her it's not the green tea ice-cream order. Haiz...in the end, ordered sweet box. The pineapple sherbet was nice. Think i kinda addicted to sherbets recently. Tried peach sherbet at Sushi Tei the last sat.

Went to Liang Court, Meidi-ya and Kino before going to Cineileisure for a movie. Watched "Lust.Caution". It wasn't as good as expected. Think because it's by Lee Ang that's why it has so much publicity.

Japanese titbits

Bought this at the Japanese supermarket in Central. The warabimochi mushroom biscuits are very nice (from Meidi-ya in Liang Court)! It's amazing what flavors they come up with.

P2 blunder

Today is the second day for oral examinations. Was giving P2 oral when this boy told me: “我忘记这个是什么。。。”It was actually a picture of 2 elephants performing for the audience at the zoo. So after thinking for awhile, he came up with “小狗”I was so shocked, I asked him again and he gave me the same answer. I couldn't stand it any longer so I asked him “大什么?”Finally he said “哦,大象。”So funny! =)

Birthday dinner

Went out for dinner with my family as it's my birthday...we eat out on sundays anyway. Went to Sushi Jiro at Siglap area. Had chawanmushi, agedashi tofu, cold tofu, sashimi, sushi and beef nabe. Super full and contented after the meal. But it was super expensive!!! Almost $400!*_*

Taking tests...

The What Type of man turns you on test: Classic scorcher
You have picked my personal favorite type of man. Yes, man, not boy. The all-American and then some. You admire a buff body and manly features but someone who knows how to bathe himself and even though he's a scorcher, you could still bring him home to mom - as long as she keeps her hands off! Someone this hot would be......Victor Webster. But let's face it, the whole point of this was to look at a bunch of hot guys.

Out with sis

Went to the Bodyshop warehouse sale with sis and was slightly late, around 12plus pm. All the pouches are gone and when sis spotted some at the bottom of the shelves, the staff said they were reserved by staff and can't be sold to us...so unfair!!! Should have gone like once they open. Spent another $70plus but cos sis also bought some items. Went to Marina Square and tried the KFC fiery lime drumsticks...think it's not spicy enough though. Bought a Sylvanian family set costing $19(the mini version). Went to Kokontozai as there's a sale. Been wanting to get a ring but didn't really see what I liked the last time. The outlet in Raffles City has nicer designs. Got one for around $17plus. Original price is $20plus. Decided to have lunch at Sushi Tei as it's getting late. Went to A n BC at the basement and got a Japanese design file and a clover stamp. Went for piano lessons and headed to Clarke Quay for family dinner with uncle at Hung Kang Teochew Restaurant.

Woodpecker

Spotted a woodpecker when going to the bus stop with sis today. Like the way it moves up and down the tree. So cute!

Makeover again

Went down to NByN again as I'd received a call on Monday. As it's my second visit so there's only one casual look and 20 shots, of which I can choose 2. There was this English guy who came to talk about the package costs and he was trying to convince me to sign up for the package. It's quite expensive, $137 for 24 mths. Didn't really want to commit as it's quite a big amount and at this point in time don't see the need.

Carebear

Last time when I was small I used to have a yellow funshine care bear. But when I moved to Yio Chu Kang, gave it away. Really regret it now as it's so expensive to buy one. Been looking for the keychain and I managed to get one from Raffles Place mrt shopping area, one of the push carts. I got the pink color without keychain but has a string, the flower one is with metal keychain and the funshine is what I'm looking for...still haven't found it yet.

Children's Day

It's a school holiday for primary schools so went to the gym and attended the bodybalance class and jazz dance. Quite fun. Went shopping after that. Managed to get my new shoes from tinkertoes at Marina Square. My URS brown pumps are a little torn at the back, didn't know till I wore it to school the other day and it was raining. Rain water actually seeped in, so uncomfortable. The new pumps are also brown for $21.90. Saw this japanese sweet from John Little that is suppose to help one lose weight as it expands when you drink water after eating it. Helps to block of carbo absorption but super expensive. It costs $12.90 each packet. Think by weight, never really see.

Yesterday met Gaelim at Takashimaya's coffeebean for drinks and chat. He's quite nice to talk to. Went for piano lesson and walked down to HMV Village to meet up with Peishi and Jolene. The rest couldn't make it in the end. Jo's bf, Mr Tan drove us to East Coast Hong Kong cafe for drinks. The milk tea is very nice. Mr Tan also drove us home. Reached home around 1230am. Feel so tired but it was nice catching up.

I like this top!!!

NByN

Received a call on Friday evening that I've been selected for a complimentary makeover and photoshoot. I will be able to choose 2 photos complimentary of the studio. Arrange to go down on Sunday evening at 6pm. The place is at 69 Circular Road (Boat Quay). Alot of families were there to take their photos.
For the first look I wore my fave brown dress and it's more of a lifestyle natural look. The second look is more of a glamourous shot. Tried on the leather suit. Surprisingly the effect wasn't as bad as i thought. A total of 25 shots were taken for each of the looks. Chose the above 2 as the rest I didn't really like them.

No Reservations

Met up with Jimmy to catch "No Reservations" at Cathay (fri). The movie was quite nice. http://noreservationsmovie.warnerbros.com// Think Aaron Eckhart is quite charismatic and Catherine Zeta-jones is so charming. The little girl, Abigail Breslin is also a good actress.
Went to Pastamania for late dinner. Tried the mussels and clams in white wine. It's better than I thought.

Bought 《我只能为你画一张小卡片》some time ago and as there's a Chinese books book fair in school today, decided to buy 《履历表》($9). Will get 《照相本子》the next time.

Mini jacket

Have been looking around for a mini jacket for sometime but can't seem to find nice ones that are reasonably priced. Think khaki color should be nice. Any ideas where to find?

Catching up

Met Yifen at Compasspoint for dinner after school today. Passed her the birthday gift as her birthday is coming up this sunday. Went to Jack's place cos Sakae had a long queue. Tried the chicken and steak combo which was quite alright. Went to Cold Storage next and bought a Meiji Dippy biscuit ($1.30). Quite tasty. Reached home quite tired. Think long day that's why cos in the morning had p1 tuition and after lessons had cca till 615pm.

Cinnamoroll Egg mould

Got this from a shop in Chinatown some time ago...it's actually an egg mould. Just prepare a hard boiled egg and make sure you have just shelled it. Then put it inside the mould and close it, leaving it inside for about 1 minute. Then the shape of cinnamoroll will be formed. Interesting isn't it? Hehe...haven't really tried before cos can't get the hard boiled egg hard enough. Haha

Andox

This is a character created for Andy Lau that's why the name is similar...some of it's expressions are quite cute...Took part in a magazine contest to try to win a 10-inch andox...

True Spa

Went for the complimentary treatment offered by True Spa at 1:15pm today. Chose the intensive eye treatment without knowing that it's the most expensive of the 3 offered till I checked the website (back massage and foot spa were the other 2). Paraffin was used for the eye mask and it was quite hot initially. Didn't really like the smell of the cleanser and moisturiser. Was asked if I want to sign up a package of $99 per month...minimum of 12 sessions. Didn't want to sign up as I don't like the idea of a package...prefer to go when I am free and would prefer Green Sanctuary instead. Bought my 2008 Cinnamoroll organiser from Sanrio corner in Takashimaya. Managed to get the rose and sakura unazukin for sis. Both pink series and costs $9.95 each. Went to Wisma to get the khaki bag ($15). Took a bus down to Plaza Sg next. There are now more small eateries at Basement 2, occupying the Starhub area last time. There's bubbletea, Sakae, Hokkaido ice-cream, dim sum, andersen's ice cream, etc...quite alot to choose from. Found the cinnamoroll handphone strap I saw in Marina Square in Daiso. The shop in Marina Sq was selling one for $4. Can buy 2 from Daiso!

Shopping online

Not really into internet shopping but was referred to this website by my colleague and really think the dresses look very nice. The price is also quite affordable. Thinking of getting this one...but hoping colleague will get more than one piece in order to get the 10% discount. Hehe... http://www.shoplah.com/Dresses/BB020.htm

Piano exam

Took UPA to go for my piano exam today. Went to 54 Waterloo Street a young musicians' centre...the building is 2 storeys...quite nice. Somehow find the examiner looks familiar. Ian Danley if i remember correctly. Scales was alright but when I first started with the first piece...it's not very stable and i think i hit a few wrong notes...sigh...so disappointing. Sight reading was fine and aural was ok...but I'm unsure if there's minuet in 20th Century music...

Around 715pm, felt myself moving in the sofa...there was a 7.9 earthquake in Indonesia and the tremors lasted for some time...it was like going on forever...i felt so giddy after that. Terrible feeling...according to reports on Channelnewsasia, a few buildings in Indonesia collapsed. Hope no one was hurt during this earthquake.

Eye infection

Woke up this morning with a slight discomfort in my left eye. When I got to school it got worse and my eye was quite red. Had to wait for the principal to be in school to apply for UPA as tomorrow I'm going for my piano exam. In the end, the admin manager help me pass to her while I left school early to see a doctor. Went to Sengkang polyclinic but they were closed for lunch and will only open by 1:45pm. Went to the 24hr clinic near my house to get the eye drops cos it was getting a little painful. Went home and took a nap after applying eyedrops. Hope it gets better by tomorrow.

ZEN Microphoto

Was looking around in the Creative store in Plaza Singapura when I spotted a great offer...ZEN Microphoto 8GB is going for $179! Wanted to get the white color but they didn't have anymore stock so got the grey one instead...looks silver to me though...haha. Yes, now i can store all my songs together and not be worried there isn't enough space. Plus the mini screen can view photos but may have to squint though...

Teachers' Mass Lecture 2007

Attended the mass lecture at EXPO Hall 8 today. Breakfast was provided at 8am and the vegetarian bee hoon was quite nice. However, there were no seats so we had to stand till 9am before we can start entering the lecture area. Shelley Sykes is the guest speaker and she was quite entertaining. Here's her website: http://www.shelleysykes.com/ After the lecture went to the times book sale and John Little sale but nothing caught my eye. Went to Paragon to have lunch at Sushi Tei and reached home by 4pm.

Should I?

As my own Vaio is super duper slow...it takes like 20min to load a webpage...test my patience...haiz...so am thinking of trading it in but as it runs on celeron so the trade in price is quite pathetic...less than $200...really like the new pink vaio...think it looks really sweet...but after discount it's around $1800...thinking if I should buy...or should I get a cheaper acer or compaq...how how?

Happy Teachers' Day!

Watched the Teachers' Day concert twice as the Upper primary and lower primary lessons have to be present in the hall. Didn't want to teach so brought the p2s to the library and I borrowed some books to read during the holidays. Waited in school for the dinner as I didn't want to go home and come back to school again. The theme is Surfers' Paradise so can wear casual clothing and enjoy the barbeque food. The food was quite nice and get to take some photos with my colleagues and Mrs Teo!

Weeeee...

“老师,我很急,来不及跟你讲......”
My P1 boy came up to me and as he was telling me that, he was wetting his pants at the same time...haiz...luckily there's cleaners around in the school, or else I will have to be Aunty Maria...The rest of the kids started to yeeee....so I had to keep them quiet by telling them if you continue to say that, you will have to help wipe the floor. Another boy was helping to hand in some worksheets and he was quite funny because as he pass by that area, he literally bend himself away while running. I told him you better stop running, later you slip and fall, your face will end up in the puddle. Haha...

Primary school gathering

Met up with my primary school friends at Bishan's Cafe cartel. Gengming, Grace, Delong, Yonglim, Wanli, Gaozheng and Dunlin was there. Had a long dinner before heading to AMK's Mcdonalds (the one beside the park). Spent quite some time talking about the old days. Had quite a good time. Reached home pretty late...12plus am. Luckily Gengming was driving so he sent me home.
