Hypocrisy
Don't understand why some people like to by hypocrites...according to Merriam Websters Online...hyprocrisy: a feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not; especially : the false assumption of an appearance of virtue or religion.
Personally feel that this is real disgusting...there's no valid reason to be this way when you can be truthful. However, in our lives, either in school or at work we are bound to meet people like that. Unfortunately, lately I've met two. Not going to mention names here lest I get a lawyer's letter...no money and time for that.
Find it revolting and utterly pointless but HAVE to pretend that I'm unaware of the hypocrisy lurking around. So sad right? Cannot openly show your feelings. Just got to bear with it I suppose. Sigh...Wednesday is the observation by the scm and hod...have prepared the lessonplan and teaching materials, just need to wait for the feedback from the relevant teachers. Hope don't have to change much stuff.

Failure to Launch

Met Steve at Esplanade library...haven't been there for quite some time...managed to find some taiwanese score book that appears more like a magazine and the songs are quite recent too like I do by Rain and managed to find Andy Lau's music collection volume 1 and also 5566 first score book. Went to photocopy cos my card cannot borrow. Need to subscribe to the membership per year think around 50 bucks.
Had Ichiban Boshi lunch and then we walked for awhile at Citylink before he went to meet his friends while i went to Plaza Sg for piano. Bought the Outfitter Girl's bag finally and had a 20% discount cos there were some small scratches at the sides. Hehe...gd bargain.
Bought tickets to "Failure to Launch" for the 9pm show before having Thai express dinner with Tongli...tried the green curry laksa...nice...the pineaple ice blend is also just nice too, not too sweet. Since we still had some time we headed for The Irish Pub and i had a Heineken.
The movie is pretty good...recommended...sweet romantic comedy with the dashing Matthew McConaughey...who can resist? Luckily he has a car so was home by 11plus pm.

CK Nokia Fashion Show

Met Ace at Wheelock but Sun with Moon is packed so went to Ajisen at Taka for dinner, luckily we were early so could get a table. Had to lined up before entering the tentage outside Ngee Ann City for the show. Denise Keller from MTV was walking around think she's looking for nice looking people to film. David Gan and Wu Qing Kang was also there. Initially there were no more seats, thought have to stand but the usher managed to find 2 seats in the 2nd row. The view was good but the caucasians in front were pretty tall so could only video through the gaps between them. Couldn't take photos cos the models were moving quite fast.
The show started around 830pm and had a couple dancing ballet then the models came in one by one. A particular female model had a rather weird walking style, she lifted her knee and sorta kick her feet forward. There were only a asian female and male, and several blond female models looked alike. There was a particular male model who looks so good...haha.
I like the skirts they featured and bag. Went to the store in Taka for a brief look. There was a bag that had a special color, between gold and bronze but costs $269. Don't intend to spend so much on a bag. Ordered the last brown Outfitter Girl's bag at Plaza Singapura so will be getting it tmr since i won't get the chance to travel already.
I was at Wheelock Place earlier so went to the toy collectible store. Got a small set of Cinnamoroll stationery and stamp set for $24. The stamps were extremely cute, will take picture of it some day to post here.
The fashion show was pretty short till about 850pm but there was a goodie bag with 2 magazines, Female and Bazaar. There was a Nokia notebook and also a bottle of Coke Light. Went to Coffeebean at Borders for a drink and chat after that. Intended to catch a cab back home but bus was here so guai guai took bus home. Sis helped do up my hair into a bun!

Still not enough
Had my 2nd Supervisor observation today...kind of expected her to come today...so she observed my primary 4 class but she was not satisfied. Thinks that i could have done more with regards to showing my teaching capabilities...was told that she will arrange for a moderator from NIE to come observe once in order to write the final report...this is lousy news man...will probably get one of my lecturers, just hope that he or she will be benevolent enough to grant me a pass...im not asking for much, a pass will do, i have no money to pay MOE...i cannot afford to break the bond...
Will also have another observation by my SCM and HOD next week, have chosen my primary 4 class on wednesday. Think sticking to teaching the text, less risk...just need to get the lessonplan done earlier so that can consult my CT. Feel so upset...it's like putting in effort and getting zero for results.
I even got a nightmare last night, dreaming that I had to continue to do powerpoint for teaching even on Chinese New Year where alot of friends and relatives are visiting and I'm still working away. Damn pathetic.
REALLY praying that I will pass the 2 observations safely and not have anymore hiccups...cannot afford them. SIGH *_*

Next week 3 left
Completed one observation for p5 today by my cooperating teacher...unsure about how it went, taught moral education to the class and did some activities in the workbook. Supposed to have observation next week with the HOD and SCM but in the end it's only SCM and I don't have to do composition writing if I don't intend to. Will have to print out the lessonplan for him on monday. Next week will also have a surprise observation by my supervisor, during our briefing, we did asked her if she will do surprise visits and she said no...haiz, cannot believe anything they say...all for the sake of giving u a false sense of comfort first. Just glad that there's only 15 more working days for us...but last night my parents did not agree to me going travelling to australia...but i really wish i can go cos i want to unwind before starting the NE courses and mentoring program in NIE in may and june...please offer some suggestions as to how i can convince them to let me go...thanks!

Eligible bachelors
Went to Thai Express for green chicken curry and calamari, felt that the rice was abit too hard...not enough water...the green chicken curry actually tasted very nice.
Met Francis at Cityhall and went to Kokon Tozai...bought a hair accessory for $24.90...yah i know it's ex but i like the design, almost bought a pendant that can be a handphone accessory. Cos bought the hair accessory already so didn't get the pendant.
There was some photo taking session by the Cleo's 50 most eligible bachelors at plaza singapura so that was quite a crowd. Think there was this chinese guy who looks good but didn't see him in person there though...too many pple trying to take photos with them. Bumped into Chin Wee or Ah bee with his gf...he has become more mature and slimmer than when in sec sch days...his is still in NUS engineering 2nd year while his gf was in NTU business and has started working.
Had a Swenson's ice-cream mocha almond...yummy...

Sports Day and Hot Yoga
The school had it's sports day at Hougang Stadium yesterday morning...the school bus was late so everything was delayed slightly. The cheerleading competition was not as interesting as last year's, and purple house won this year.
Went down to Hitachi Towers by catching a limosine cab and went to Teaspa for tom yam soup and a tea they named "Awake". The tom yam soup is more sour then spicy and the tea was only ok. Went to Bodyshop and Green Sanctuary...realised that i didn't have my atm card with me...so couldn't do any treatments. Went to the next building and found a POSB bank. Managed to withdraw money even though I didn't have my bankbook or my atm card...so headed back to Green Sanctuary for my equalising facial...
Attended Hot Yoga at True Yoga nearby as i was contacted for a free session. Feel that hot yoga is more interesting and we had the session in a room where it was 38 degree celsius. Cos Jianming was having a meeting at Tanjong Pagar so i met him there and cos i forgot to bring the settler's cafe discount card, we headed for plaza singapura instead. We went to Ichiban Boshi and the soft shell crab there is very nice. Reached home by 10pm and i was dead tired...went to sleep almost immediately. Still considering if i should get the outfitter girls bag...

Supervisor observation 1
Had my primary 5 observation by my supervisor today...the students were not cooperative at all...keep talking even when im talking or when their friends are presenting. Once they start talking, i will just keep quiet and wait for them to shut up...but in less than 5 minutes' time they will revert back to talking amongst themselves. If they are talking about things related to the compo writing it is not that bad, however, that is not the case, they are talking abt other matters not related to my teaching...so irritated by them...they were punished as a class yesterday yet today after warning from my cooperating teacher, they still refuse to listen and cooperate...my supervisor thinks they are too much, treating both of us as if we are transparent. She asked me not to tolerate and feels that i was very poor thing, standing in front yet my presence is not felt.
The only good thing she said was that i prepared well and the teaching aids used were interesting. Besides that she noticed that my smile is quite rare but i look great when i do...come on lah, when your class discipline is in a total mess, can u still smile? Feel so defeated and disappointed...all the effort of preparing the lesson seems to have gone down the drain...feel so awful...called liyin cos she had her observation before me in the morning...hers is worse cos the sup commented alot of negative points for hers and liyin actually cried after she left...think the disappointment is so great that she needed to cry out...really very sian when u plan and plan then in the end, things don't work out...it's like u did all that for nothing.
Anyway, the p5s are going to get it from me tomorrow...im not going to be miss nice anymore...they have gone too far...im going to let them know what it is like to trifle with me...seeking their own death...miss nice is going on holiday...miss fury is taking her place.

Shout
Have to go through the primary 5 papers today with the students. They did very badly, only 5 passed the test. Yet when we were going through the corrections, they still dare to talk...was so furious with them that i shouted at them...they were quite shocked that i can be so loud...i didn't know also...haha...oh well, i suppose when u are really angry the energy channelled can be rather powerful...had the whole class stand up to do their corrections...only when they have quietened down then i let them sit down...then some complained that the comprehension answers are too long...hello...im writing on the board for them, isn't it the same? One girl asked me to use the visualisor but i chose to write...at least it's clearer and bigger for those who can't see. Had white space where teachers from the chinese department gather to discuss and raise questions regarding to teaching...afterwhich there was assembly but cos one of my cooperating teachers will be on course tomorrow after school so had discussion with scm and 2 cts during assembly. My scm's negative feelings towards me is so obvious that even Mas commented that she noticed he seems to be against me...when ive done nothing wrong...haiz...no choice...tomorrow observation by supervisor, hope all goes well..p5s better be good or they'll get it from me...hiak hiak...

Outfitter Girls
Went to meet Karan as he wanted to learn chinese. Need to help him get Chinese textbooks starting from Primary 1. With more vocab first. Went to Plaza Sg for piano next and after class, was walking around when I saw that the tops in Outfitter Girls was going for a special px. Tried on the top and realised that the material is very comfortable. Get 2 and it's $23, 1 is $15. Got one for sis and then saw the brown bowling bag...it's $36...still deciding if should buy cos a little casual. But it is big enough for my stuff. Will see how again cos they have a corner in Wisma's Isetan also.

Chocz
Met Yunny for lunch at Sun with Moon at 130pm. The coffee here is nice and the aroma is great. Had sushi and udon set. Had my p5 observation today. All went well, managed to complete all that I set out to do in the lesson plan which was good. Went to Isetan supermarket to get some snacks before going to Far East. Walked around and managed to get the hair accessory that sis asked me to help buy. Bought Memoirs of a Geisha from a second hand bookstore for $13.
Went to Paragon next and couldn't resist pampering myself for a treatment at Green Sanctuary. Went for Tummy Compress and eye intensive treatment. The massage for the eyes was good. Very soothing and relaxing. Met Karan for dinner at Thai Express. The green curry is actually very tasty. Taste good on it's own, don't need the rice I feel. Saw lotsa different chocs from Chocz and Karan bought some and cos they are weighed and then priced, just a few costs $25!!! So expensive right? But they taste real good....yummy...
Still looking for suitable big bag and shoes for myself...on the lookout for good bargains...hehe

Lesson plans completed waiting to clear observations
Completed all my lesson plans just this afternoon...cos Mdm Low requested for a more detailed lesson plan for the observation tomorrow so have to update and fine tune the one which I've prepared previously.
Think just left with powerpoints if i wish to do. Had my first observation by Miss Lim with the p4s on Wed. She has yet to get back to me regarding how I did cos she's busy. Just have to wait patiently. Tomorrow is the p5 first observation, hope all goes well. Next Tuesday, supervisor will observe the p5s...unsure if will be doing composition writing teaching. Still need to consult my CT, see what she suggest. But at least now can relax a bit cos this time start earlier with lesson plans and observations.

Funny comment
Today during my p4 lesson, I was teaching the class moral education and we came across a chapter about having a barbecue at the chalet. So Jian Cheng who likes to offer answers mention that there might be hotdogs also and he said 烧狗 instead of 热狗. Couldn't help but laugh out loud. He can be pretty adorable sometimes, with his chipmunk look.
Glad that the p4s are more responsive, at least I know they are listening and paying attention. For sometime today some started speaking in english and they were fined 10cents each time. But was told this method is not that effective and not that suitable so will inform them to get their money back tmr. They have to find stories or riddles to tell the class. In this way, they will be able to benefit from the stories and learn more.

Pri sch gathering

After piano lessons, drop by at Centrepoint's Bodyshop to get what i need cos can use the coupon of 30% discount. Plaza Sg didn't have one of the things i needed to get so have to go to Centrepoint.
Met my primary sch friends at Heeren's Marche. Lynn and her bf, Angel, Delong, Boon Chuan and Mariko were present. We chatted and intended to get coffee after dinner but everywhere was crowded. Hence we went to Cineleisure's More Than Words and saw Shuwei there. Mariko and myself saw the sanrio soft toys and couldn't resist. I got one with baby Kitty and Cinnamoroll. Mariko got the Melody and Usahana one. Cos Shuwei is working there so got a little discount. Shared a cab back with Boon Chuan. Slept only at 2am.

Sick again
Last night think I've flu so took panadol cold before sleeping but this morning did not improve. Have to drag myself to school. Took another tablet in school but condition did not improve also. Still have to teach, so went through the day very much in a daze.
Couldn't leave school early also cos not going to see a doc so no MC or verification. Went home, took another tablet before sleeping my afternoon away. Seems like this practicum is not too good...keep falling ill...sigh

Back to school
Finally my eye is not as red as before and I can go to school to teach...also have to drag myself there no matter what cos no more MC...hehe...
Tried to open the powerpoint i prepared earlier on but there seems to be a problem with the website and I cannot download the file...so had to do without IT and gave an impromptu lesson for the primary 4 and 5s. At least they do respond to my questions so that's pretty promising.
Completed marking the p4 papers before going home. Brought their essays back to mark...had a very good time laughing at their work...know i shouldn't be doing this but they are really funny especially when they write the wrong words and express a totally different meaning...some actually drew as i suggested as the last picture is for them to imagine what will happen next...quite cute. Will photocopy some and put in my practicum file. =P

On MC
It's supposed to be the first day of my practicum teaching and I'm down with an eye infection. The redness hasn't cleared and it's still alittle swollen. So had to sms my CTs and inform my supervisor that I can't go to school today.
Went back to the doctor for MC and he gave me another eyedrop to reduce the redness. Got 2 days MC. Hope my eye will be fine by tmr cos I don't want to stay at home and be "sick".

Eye infection
Woke up this morning with my right eye tearing and very red...there wasn't any pain but a slight itch...had to miss my piano lessons cos couldn't stop the tearing despite applying eyedrops.
After dinner, couldn't stand it so went to the doc...the clinic that i normally go to is close so have to visit the 24hr one. Luckily there's one or i'll have to wait till tmr. The doctor prescribed two types of eyedrops and a tablet medicine for me. Hope that by tmr my eye will be fine cos going for dinner to celebrate Dad's birthday in advance.

Laptop revived!
After school, met Dave at Orchard coffee bean, he's late as he had to deliver lunch to his gf, so understandable...think have gotten used to his lateness...it'll be surprising if he arrives on time i suppose...haha.
Went for a very late lunch at abt 3:30pm at Paragon's Sushi Tei. Had a tough time trying to find power supply for the laptop reviving. Went back to Coffee bean and managed to save my laptop...apparently it is very very sick...haha, luckily Mr Dave managed to save it.
Quite grateful cos now can use my laptop to do my lesson plans and presentatinos properly...got mint sweets from topshop where there's a small mirror inside. Bought coffee shots from Takashimaya also...like the coffee bean bits inside.
Treated Josh for dinner at Sakura in Far East. Bought a set of Ocha-ken tin cans with small figurines inside where the heads can nod for $15. Saw a white lacy top from Cotton Candy at the Basement of Far East for $15. Decided to get it cos it's the last piece and i quite like the design. Photos will follow probably tmr...too tired to upload...shoulders aching, feet aching...need to rest...haha

Teaching begins
Will start teaching the primary 4s tmr cos will be doing composition writing...hope they can understand what i'm teaching. So far the p4s are the smarter lot, they are fast in responding.
The primary 5s are poorer in standard, their grades are just 50+. They are quite talkative also. Saw how their composition class was done today. So far no problems yet, hope it'll remain this way all the way throughout my practicum.
Will salvage my laptop tmr, with help from Dave...

Practicum II begins
Today is the first day of Practicum II....went back to Hougang Primary in the morning session. Mr Law is still around and apparently, my cooperating teachers are different ( unlike what the pgde who stayed on told me online).
Both my CTs are pretty young and I'll be teaching primary 4 and 5 this time round. From my observations, the primary 5 are noisier. Their grades are also the borderline cases. Need to repeat my points more for them to understand.
This time round, at least we have 3 tables to share among the four of us in the resource room so it's not that bad. After this week's observations, I'll have to start teaching so hope to get my laptop fixed asap.

Harley Davidson

Met Rong after my piano lessons at PS...we intended to catch "Fearless" but the seats were singles or front rows so we headed down to Marina Square. He changed his bike to a Harley so got to ride in one...didn't know it was Thaipusam yesterday so there was a slight traffic jam as they were doing the parade.
We got the tickets for the 9pm show and went to Waraku Japanese Restaurant for dinner. The movie was quite violent but how Huo Yuan Jia died was pretty lousy...being poisoned to death...anyway, he emerged victorious in the final fight and he showed mercy to his opponent despite being poisoned. http://www.fearlessthemovie.com/
Although the max he rode was about 80+, felt that it was faster maybe cos it's on a bike instead of in a car...could feel the cold night wind blowing on you...can understand why some chose bikes instead of cars..there's a sense of carefreeness in being able to cruise down the highway.

Dream
Again, I dreamt of practicum...now that i know who my CTs are, I dreamt of one of them doing co-teaching with me...we had to draw using chalk on the blackboard (that was way before in sec sch???) to let the students guess the answer to a worksheet. At the end of the lesson, the students are supposed to hand up their work but being the first day of school alot of them have yet to complete so we gave them until wednesday to hand in. Then, during recess, I went to a resource room but later assembly followed and as it was raining the students and teachers moved up to the hall...thereafter, my dream ended...so weird...

The Classic

Caught the movie on SCV...it's the second time I'm watching this movie...yet still touched by the main lead especially when the scene shows the male lead going off to war while the female lead tries to tell him to come back alive...so sad to see that when they reunite, the guy has turned blind cos he went back into the battlefield to find the necklace the gal gave him before he left. Can find the movie website below:

New specs
Collected my specs after a long day of lessons...started from 830am till 3pm with 1 hr break for lunch...followed by discussions regarding our presentation report.
Apparently, the frame is from Japan..Foxx brand...mum says it's nice...glad that it's thicker in the middle so that i won't break it so easily. Will be staying home to complete my part for the presentation report tmr i suppose unless i head for the gym...didn't go last week...hmm...

Zen
Went to Zen Japanese Restaurant at UE Square as Dad's Japanese friend is giving us a treat. He ordered the crab set meal for all of us and we were served crab in different kinds of cuisines...there was tempura, chawanmushi (the largest I've ever seen and eaten), bbq, steamboat.
I tried the Coconut Cream Brule...quite nice...the coconut taste wasn't that strong. The fruits beside had condensed milk on top and tasted quite nice.
Going to eat strawberries now...yummy...

I Not Stupid 2
Supposed to go to the gym with Joseph whom I got to know from match.com but felt pretty lazy so we changed plans to have lunch and catch a movie instead.
We went to Sun with Moon and I tried the Warabi Mochi which is green tea ice-cream with green tea mochi...quite nice. We went to Cineleisure to catch I Not Stupid 2. I prefer the first movie, find it's plot more interesting and more relevant to school life.
We headed to Heeren to get the mini arcade toy grabbing machine. There's a discount so I got it for only $44.90. It's actually for sis' birthday. She mentioned that she like that. It was pretty bulky and troublesome for me to lug to my lesson but no choice.
Met my family at Boon Keng for our dinner...it's "Ren ri" today, a day where every Chinese celebrates their birthday. We had Yu Sheng and of cos ordered my favourite Teochew dessert, Orh Nee.
Caught Brother Bear on the Disney Channel with sis...we laugh so loud at the last scene where the two bears were laughing at their funny faces created on the ice when another bear came along and looked normal in the ice cos his face was comically distorted actually. The image was so funny that we couldn't help but laugh out loud...hope can find the image then can post here. The song "No way out" is also very nice...can go to the website to listen to the sample: http://disney.go.com/disneyvideos/animatedfilms/brotherbear/nonflash.html

Piaakk
As I was wiping my specs this morning, the middle section gave way...for a moment I thought I will have to go without specs for the day...luckily I still have my old specs...so got to make do with that.
Reached school fairly early and had to prepare for our presentation. To our dismay, there was power failure twice in the library block...give us a scare...cos we needed to print out our ppt slides.
Had to skip lunch in order to prepare for our presentation. Some of the points were arguable for the tutor but she did give us credit for trying to come up with a new teaching material. Just glad that the presentation is over.
Went to Capitol Optical to make my new specs...costs $168. Had to choose frameless type again cos they don't have the semi-framed ones that I like and within my budget.
Tried the organic scallop burger at mos burger...quite tasty...and surprising the natsumi burger is without bread...just the ingredients...maybe try next time. Fell asleep on the train...so darn tired!
I actually dreamt of practicum last night!!! Must be feeling the pressure but there's about two more weeks!

It's the fourth day of the lunar new year and guess what? I'm stuck at home doing presentation stuff with my left eye in pain...unsure if something bit me or cos of heatiness or simply becos ive been looking at the pc screen for too long.
Anyway, have to erase each character with the mini eraser in Paint to show the strokes of each word in Moviemaker. Having probs adding the completed moviemaker character in ppt tho...haiz...why so ma fan?
2 nights ago, went to the airport to welcome Dad's taiwanese friends then we went to Jalan Kayu for prata...waited at least half an hour before our food arrive...so hungry by then!
Dad cooked claypot rice and mutton soup last night...but i didn't eat alot this time...think still full from the late night prata...hehe
Back to erasing the character...surprisingly, it can be rather therepeutic after sometime...haha...lying to myself...ah q spirit!

Discussion
Met up with Yunny's friend, Jeremy for breakfast. He's driving so more convenient cos I had to go to Yifen's house for our presentation discussion. Yifen's mum cooked claypot rice for us...very tasty...
We discussed till about 3+pm. Feel so tired after I got home. The reunion dinner is as good as before...feel so full after dinner. Watched tv programmes till 2am before I slept.

Meeting with supervisor
Went early to school for our presentation discussion. After lessons, we went to look for some of our lecturers in their offices to wish them happy new year. Our supervisor arrived early so we met up with her. She's a taiwanese who has been in singapore for 15 years. Heard that she has been a principal before but she's quite young actually to be one. We thought that she should be quite strict although she was quite friendly with us.
Met Dave at California at last and I left the gym after a short workout cos meeting Yunny for dinner. Went back to Sun with Moon, tried the Niku Udon...taste gd! Yasai (fried vege and fish) was also quite tasty. Sweet box was the final dessert. Yummy...
Tomorrow is the eve of chinese new year but we still have to do our presentation discussion at Yifen's house! So sad! Cannot take a break cos Shuduan's group did a very good job today...stress level getting higher...haiz...

Sample
Went to Orchard with Mum today for lunch and to do some shopping. Went to Sun with Moon and they only serve sweet box after 2:30pm. Tried the udon and sushi with tempura. The tempura costs the most. There were alot of food samples in Isetan. The apple jam tasted very nice.
Lemongrass
After attending the extra lesson to make up for friday's, took the train down to Somerset to California gym. Waited for Dave to drop by but he ended work late so I went for Bodycombat. Went to Heeren to walk around. Found the mini machine that can grab soft toys found in arcades costing $49.90. There's 2 colours, pink and red. The pink one is slightly smaller in size. Went to Lemongrass to try out the tom yam soup...real spicy...couldn't finish so had them pack it for me. The pineapple rice is also quite nice.

Sad Tango
Caught the mtv last night, it's Rain's new single and it's very nice!!! Of course in the music video he was dancing and he really has very slick moves!
Went to Bugis with Yifen and Wanjun after class. Tried Crystal Jade Cakery's Mango cream bun, quite nice...not too sweet. Bought a small pencil from Lovelyland for 90cents cos it can be bent abit..the outer cover is similar to rubber...quite cute.
Intended to meet Dave to go to the gym but he didn't bring his hp out and by the time i managed to contact him, he has finished his session...felt quite tired by that time so headed home.

Lisa Ono
Went to Bugis street to find Lisa Ono's CD...it's much cheaper there, managed to find 1 costing just $7. Couldn't try hearing it out there so just gotta trust that the disc is ok. Would be very inconvenient to travel back just to exchange if there's anything wrong.
Went to Somerset next for bodycombat in California. Collected my infinity membership card and gift pack. Headed down to Bishan to meet Dave as he could show me the photos he took in Australia. Reached home just before 11pm...quite tired think tomorrow will just slack at home. Perhaps head for the gym on friday after my lessons.

The Da Vinci Code
Spent 2 days reading the book...perhaps expect it to be more dramatic and enticing. The ending was rather predictable with the baddies either getting caught or dead and the good people finding what they set out to find. Considering if I should buy Memoirs of a Geisha or just go catch the movie.

Breadtalk
Today is Mum's birthday so after my lessons, I bought her a blackforest cake from Breadtalk (share costs with sis). I gave her a little soft toy turtle hp accessory last night. She liked it alot...told her symbolise longevity..hehe.
Slightly after dinner, we sang her the birthday song and then took some photos before I help to cut the cake. The cake is quite nice, not too sweet and the blackcurrants taste quite good. =)

X:odus
Met up with a friend from match.com for lunch at Sun with Moon. Ate Zaru soba again and ordered the broiled sushi. Taste quite nice. Not forgetting tofu cheesecake...hehe.
Wanted to catch a movie but there wasn't a suitable time. Walked down to Takashimaya and went to Royal Copenhagan for tea. I tried the coffee, tastes rich and aromatic. Quite nice. The Earl Grey Tea also smells very fragrant. We went to Heeren next and I managed to buy a pair of mules from X:odus for only $16.15. Used to cost $30+. But it is pastel green in color, can wear for practicum cos the material is quite soft.
Along the way, treated him to Yami yogurt. Finally reached Plaza Singapura around 4+pm. He left as I went for my piano lessons. Had quite a nice time. =)

Worst laksa
Went to Marina Square with Yifen and there's this Kopitiam near Jollibean. Saw the laksa and decided to try it out...surprise surprise the so-called Singapore Laksa doesn't have cockles or tau pok.
Haiz, still dare to call Singapore Laksa, mislead foreigners...tsk tsk. Borrowed The Da Vinci Code from Yifen, can read over the weekend. Bought a dvd from Carrefour, Mcdull story. Should be watching it tonight.

Sweet box

Met Josh at Wheelock Place and proceeded to Sun with Moon...there's alot of diners so we had to wait for about half and hour for our table. Meantime, Mr Bosigang went into workaholic mode. Started calling different household for his housing agent job.
It was around 930pm when we got our table and the dishes shown are what we ordered. Like the golden brown sweet dessert...according to the waitress the sweet box's contents are changed daily...quite interesting. Should try out the sweet box again when I drop by the next time. Went to Shaw Towers to check out the movies but it's quite late we have to wait for about an hour plus so we headed down to Cineleisure but they don't have the movie we intend to watch. Walked down to Plaza Singapura and we settled for the 3rd row to watch "The Dark". Disappointingly, the movie was not scary but think cos we were seated very close to the front, the sound system was very powerful. Shared a cab home, sound asleep only by 2+am.

Bought Bodybutter from Bodyshop at $18.90. There's a new flavour Avocado, surprisingly it smells quite good so I bought 1. Can use tonight =)

Forever 21
Met Yahti at Somerset MRT station coincidentally, she's waiting to meet her friend...glad to see that she's still the same. Went to California Fitness to settle the matter but the card and t-shirt is already ready for collection...hope he can help to cancel the subscription.
Went to Food Republic at Wisma and tried the Thai food at Waan Waan thai corner...the tom yam soup was quite spicy. The pineapple rice is quite nice too. Went to Forever 21 and found a green top for $13. Actually the color stated there is Mint but I thought mint is much lighter...oh well. Tried Hazelnut flavor ice-cream at Gelatissimo outside Shaw Towers..can compete with Venezia.

Returned back to Boon Lay for lessons at 230pm...went to the Sanrio corner in Jurong Point only to find that they are packing up...argh...no more Sanrio corner in JP...haiz, this means no more discount using the NTU matriculation card...
Dropped in bodyshop to find a new shower gel called Japanese Sake...and it really smells like Sake!!! Of all the weird things they invent, they have to come up with such a shower gel. So weird...later get drunk just by showering hahahahaha...

Seafood International
Went for a sumptous dinner last night at Seafood International with Dad's Japanese friend with his daughter. His daughter looks familiar...sis pointed out that when she smiles she looks like the taiwanese artiste - xiao qiao from qi duo hua...she's only 16 but looks like 20+.
Enjoyed the drunken prawns and garlic bread the most. The fried fish also tasted very nice. The chilli crab is also a must-try. Feel so full after the meal =P

BBQ
Met up with Shuixian and Samantha at Serangoon mrt station around 4+pm...again was early but Sam was even earlier.
Yifen came next and after waiting for Shuduan, Mindy and Yuanlin, we shared a cab to go to Shuixian's place. Peishi arrived next, followed by Wanjun and finally Tzehan and her bf.
We took some time to start the fire before we started with the chicken wings and sausages. Quite hungry by the time we were preparing the food. There was fried rice which I ate alittle. I like the otah and the sweet corn the best. Tried Peishi's recommendation-banana with nutella...quite interesting but a little sweet cos she put alot.
We left around 10+pm. Had a good time catching up...next week school will reopen and I just realised I forgot to register for Practicum 2! Have to wait until add/drop day.

Went to California in Somerset in the morning to attend Bodycombat...as I was leaving the club, decided to check when my membership expires...was told coming November. According to the GM, the guy who signed me up has left the club so there's this promotion going for such members.
I have to pay $289 monthly for 1 year before I pay $8 per year for the subsequent years...tempting offer considering that it's a lifetime rate and there's 12 1- month passes and a gift pack.
After considering for awhile, decided to sign up for it...less than an hour later, Dad called saying that Diners called him asking if there's a purchase of $3000 over, they wish to verify...He's upset that I signed up for the club after the other time when he was against me signing up for the membership. Tried to explain to him that the subsequent years i only need to pay $8 per year for the membership but he insists that we talk about it at home tonight...Think there'll be more scolding ahead...haiz...why can't he understand that I'm just signing up for a fitness membership and not something that will waste my time and money???
Hopefully he'll be able to see where I'm coming from and allow me to continue with it...think can't cancel the purchase if im not wrong...
Had lunch with Delong at Sushi Tei in Paragon before heading to Orchard Library to borrow some books...still can't find Memoirs of a Geisha...either on loan or missing from the catalogue. Managed to find the gingerbread man and gingerbread woman from Chocz at Paragon...hope that it'll still be edible by the time it lands in the hands of Mr Tay.

Tops
Met Jiahui around 230pm at Orchard today...went to Wisma and Taka and since it wasn't raining, we walked down to Heeren and Far East Plaza...managed to get a pink top from Far East at $15. Chanced upon Joyce from AMKSS, she's also out shopping with her friend. Chatted for awhile before we went our separate ways.
Felt hungry so we went to Sakura after I passed Jolene the California gold membership application card. It's $79 per month, I still have 2 cards left, offer ends by Jan 06 so if anyone of you is interested, do let me know asap.
We took a bus (SBS 7) to Bugis. Over at Bugis street, I managed to get a orange polo top for $10. Quite a good bargain. Jiahui accidentally stepped on the back of my sandals and the strap broke so had to go look for a pair of sandals. Managed to find one from Leather Ark in Bugis Junction costing $28. Jiahui offered to pay half the price. We took the train back and it was quite crowded. Luckily don't have to stand too long before I got a seat. Quite tired from all the walking...need to train shopping stamina again.
